Nikki Satin, Town Council, District 7

My husband, Joel, and I have lived in Trumbull for 25 years, raising our three boys in the Trumbull Public Schools, where I volunteered extensively and led the Hillcrest Ski Club for seven years. I was appointed school climate parent liaison for Booth Hill School in the wake of Sandy Hook and remain deeply committed to fostering safe, supportive environments for our students. A graduate of UConn and the Culinary Institute of America, I owned and operated Chefs for Seniors, providing nutritious meals to older adults in their homes. I now serve as a Senior Sourcing Analyst for a $2 billion foodservice and hospitality company, managing procurement for approximately $500 million in food annually for senior living communities, corporate campuses, schools, airport lounges, law firms, and athletic teams. My experience spans small business ownership, senior services, and large-scale cost-effective purchasing—giving me a well-rounded perspective on smart budgeting, quality service, and community needs.

  • I have served on town council after being appointed in 2021 and have since been elected for 2 subsequent terms. Volunteering on behalf of the residents of Trumbull keeps me grounded in what is truly important to all of us and that is providing a safe, affordable community where all members of our community feel welcome, can be well educated and enjoy the countless opportunities that Trumbull provides

    1. I will continue to advocate for and support the building of a new senior center that addresses the health and wellness of our senior community.

    2. I will continue to support and vote for sound budgeting regarding education, public safety and community resources.

  • Currently serving 2.5 terms on Trumbull Town Council, currently serving 2nd term on the Trumbull Town Council finance committee, Current Alternate on the Rules and Legislation Committee, Former Vice Chair of the TTC Legislation and Administration Committee, Former Lead Organizer of the Hillcrest Middle School Ski Club for 7 years, Former Parent Liaison for School Climate Committee at Booth Hill School, Former Member of Shoreline Eldercare Alliance

  • I love the countless friends that I've made here. Most of these friendships started from the connections made through our children's schools and athletic events. I love knowing that there are so many good families that look out for my children as if they're their own. Although there are exceptions everywhere, I know that on the whole, we are a community of good caring people that look out for one another.

Fun Facts

What’s a fun fact about you? I once cooked for George H.W Bush after his lovely wife Barbara asked me to burn him a hotdog, which I promptly did. I also cooked for Hillary Clinton and sent her off with a bag of fresh red cherries, as they are one of her favorite fruits!
