Matt Dunn, Town Council, District 5
Born and raised in Trumbull, I am a proud graduate of the Trumbull Public Schools and Trumbull High School Class of 2019. I earned my bachelor’s degree in computer science from UConn Stamford in 2024 while commuting from my family home. My work in videography for Trumbull Community Television gave me firsthand experience with council and committee meetings, as well as many events across town. I’m eager to bring that perspective—and my computer science expertise—to help strengthen our community and expand tech skills for students.

Affordability matters to me because nearly a quarter of Trumbull residents are housing cost-burdened. I also believe in the Strong Towns model of planning, which focuses on smart, sustainable growth, and I want to see Trumbull thrive for generations to come.
-
Improving infrastructure especially safer roads for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
Affordable housing for seniors like my father, and young working class residents such as myself.
Improving our schools in particular in the areas of my expertise in tech literacy, cybersecurity and computer programming.

Volunteered at Connecticut Foodshare and videography for Trumbull Community TV

The schools and stability of our town gave me a great foundation to launch from.
