Mary Markham, Town Clerk

I have lived in Trumbull since the age of two, graduating from Trumbull Public Schools before raising my three children here. All three of my children—and now two of my six grandchildren—are proud graduates of Trumbull High School. I served as Trumbull’s Director of Recreation for 20 years, a role I thoroughly enjoyed, before becoming Assistant Registrar of Voters, then Registrar of Voters, and now Town Clerk, a position I have held for the past six years.

  • I love Trumbull. I have had a very good life here and so have my children. I enjoy serving the people of our town. It is my way of giving back something to the town.

    1. Continue working on scanning and preserving documents in a digital format to grant the public easier access and to free up much needed space in our vault.

    2. Working with the Secretary of State to ensure our elections are run properly.

    3. Continue to be the source of history and information for the town.

  • I served on the PTA executive board for MiddleBrook School, I was an advisor for Saint Teresa’s Youth Council. Served on the Field Use committee for Trumbull Parks and Recreation. I also served as Justice of the Peace for 10 years.

  • Trumbull is my hometown. I’m happy that it has remained mostly residential with most businesses on the outskirts. I love the fact that no matter how far some of my classmates have moved, so many of us have kept in touch. And they still consider Trumbull home. It was a great place to grow up
