Joy Colon, Town Council, District 6

Joy, a dedicated educator and Town Council member since 2019, is committed to equity, sustainability, and transparency in Trumbull. A parent of three, she champions strong schools, accessible resources, and collaborative leadership that puts neighbors first. With over two decades of experience in special education, educational leadership, advocacy, policy, and community engagement, she brings insight, compassion, and integrity to her service on the Town Council and in the community.

  • I'm running to ensure every Trumbull resident has access to strong schools, fair resources, and honest leadership. As a mom, educator, and neighbor, I’m driven by a deep love for this town and a commitment to building a future that serves us all—fairly and sustainably.

  • If re-elected, my top priorities are: strengthening Trumbull’s public schools through equitable funding and sustainable infrastructure investment; ensuring transparency and open communication so residents stay informed and involved; and protecting our town’s character while planning responsibly for the future. I’m committed to serving all of Trumbull with fairness, collaboration, and a deep respect for our shared community values.
